Notes

Deck Name: Deadly Little Things

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Mechanic-Based Aggro-Control
Deck Theme: Deathtouch Attrition – Combat Lockdown
Colors: Black-Green (Golgari)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

Deadly Little Things is a Legacy mechanic-based deck that weaponizes the deathtouch mechanic to dominate the battlefield. Each creature, no matter how small, becomes a tactical instrument of death. With flash-speed ambushes, lifelink fliers, and ruthless tempo control, this deck transforms combat into a lethal puzzle for your opponents.

Rather than racing or comboing off, this deck grinds its way to victory — trading up, slowing aggression, and controlling the board through threat presence alone. Value engines like Glissa, the Traitor and Pharika, God of Affliction keep the pressure going, while Grave Titan, Questing Beast, and Liliana, the Last Hope provide endgame inevitability.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Establish presence with Pharika’s Chosen, Ambush Viper, Thrill-Kill Assassin.
Trade efficiently using flash and deathtouch to halt aggression.
Deploy Deathrite Shaman for early ramp and graveyard pressure.

Mid-Game:
Transition to tempo and pressure using Vampire Nighthawk, Nighthawk Scavenger, and Glissa.
Use removal like Assassin’s Trophy and Putrefy to pick off key threats.
Gain value and stay ahead in trades with Pharika and Bow of Nylea.

Late Game:
Close the game with Grave Titan, Questing Beast, or recursive pressure from Liliana.
Create Snake tokens with Pharika for ongoing board control.
Use Toxic Deluge or Pernicious Deed to reset against swarm strategies and rebuild faster.

Ideal Opening Hand:
2 lands (green and black sources preferred)
1 early deathtouch threat (Viper, Chosen)
1 removal spell (Fatal Push, Trophy)
Optional midrange threat (Nighthawk, Shaman)

Mulligan if you lack mana or early interaction.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How the Mechanic Works – Deathtouch Attrition

The deck is built around the deathtouch mechanic, making combat perilous for your opponents. Every 1/1 becomes a hard decision, every block a potential 2-for-1. Flash creatures punish aggression, while lifelinkers swing the tempo in your favor. Over time, your opponent is forced into inefficient trades and your value engines take over.

Unlike control decks that stop threats before they land, Deadly Little Things lets them hit the board — then kills them on your terms.
