How to Play

Early Game:
Use Thoughtseize and Duress to disrupt removal or counterspells. Develop mana with Talisman of Indulgence, Mind Stone, or Fellwar Stone. Protect your setup with Lightning Greaves or Shalai before casting Kaalia of the Vast. Prioritize a stable mana base and one protection spell before committing Kaalia to the board.

Mid-Game:
Once Kaalia attacks, deploy massive threats for free — Angels, Demons, and Dragons that immediately pressure the opponent. Aurelia, the Warleader and Aggravated Assault extend combat phases, triggering Kaalia again to flood the field with divine and infernal beings. If Kaalia is removed, rely on reanimation spells (Reanimate, Unburial Rites, Karmic Guide) to restore fallen powerhouses.

Late Game:
Turn each combat phase into a chain reaction of triggers. Use Mirror Box to bypass the legend rule and multiply your legendary creatures, creating dual Kaalias or Lyras that dominate combat. Protect your army with Teferi’s Protection or Boros Charm, then close the game with overwhelming damage from Gisela, Blade of Goldnight or Drakuseth, Maw of Flames.

Ideal Opening Hand:
An ideal hand includes:
2–3 lands with access to red, white, and black mana

How the Combo Works

Set Up Protection:
