Deck Name: Gruul Beast Horde

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Tribal-Aggro Midrange
Deck Theme: Gruul Beast Tribal Pressure
Colors: Red-Green (Gruul)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

"Gruul Beast Horde" is a Legacy tribal-aggro midrange deck that channels the ferocity of Beasts to overwhelm opponents. By combining efficient early threats, cascade engines, and relentless token production, the deck applies constant pressure on both 1v1 and multiplayer tables.

Cavern of Souls and Rhythm of the Wild ensure your creatures resolve and attack unhindered, while resilient finishers such as Questing Beast, Elder Gargaroth, and Carnage Tyrant dominate the late game. Supported by Bloodbraid Elf’s cascade value and Garruk’s token generation, the deck thrives as a tribal powerhouse with both speed and resilience.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Open with Arbor Elf to accelerate into your two-drops.
Play efficient Beasts like Kalonian Tusker, Garruk’s Companion, or Advocate of the Beast to establish early pressure.
Use Lightning Bolt or Abrade to handle early threats or keep the board clear.

Mid-Game:
Bloodbraid Elf cascades into additional threats, doubling pressure.
Deploy Rhythm of the Wild or Spellbreaker Behemoth to force uncounterable lines and give haste to new attackers.
Thragtusk and Elder Gargaroth stabilize against opposing aggression and extend your board advantage.

Late Game:
Questing Beast and Carnage Tyrant serve as nearly unstoppable finishers.
Garruk, Primal Hunter generates tokens and refills your hand for sustained momentum.
Beast Within offers flexible removal against planeswalkers, enchantments, or large threats.

Ideal Opening Hand:
2 lands (ideally one Forest and one red source).
1–2 early Beasts (Tusker, Companion, Advocate).
1 piece of interaction (Bolt or Abrade).
A midrange or late-game threat (Bloodbraid Elf, Elder Gargaroth, Rhythm of the Wild).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How the Tribal Strategy Works

Efficient Curve: Tusker, Companion, and Advocate of the Beast create fast early pressure.

Uncounterable Engines: Spellbreaker Behemoth, Cavern of Souls, and Rhythm of the Wild make Beasts resilient to countermagic.

Token Generation: Garruk, Elder Gargaroth, and Thragtusk flood the board with 3/3 Beast tokens, overwhelming opponents.

Scaling Synergies: Advocate of the Beast and anthem-like effects grow creatures turn after turn.

Finishers: Questing Beast, Carnage Tyrant, and haste-enabled threats close games decisively.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Against Control:
Bring in Pyroblast, Choke, and Veil of Summer to fight counterspells.
Trim slower cards, prioritize Cavern and Rhythm to keep threats live.

Against Aggro/Tribal:
Use Anger of the Gods and Obstinate Baloth to stabilize.
Side out slower finishers for early interaction.

Against Combo:
Add Scavenging Ooze and Veil of Summer for graveyard and stack disruption.
Keep a fast clock to race combo opponents.

Against Artifact/Enchantment Strategies:
Abrade, Beast Within, and Collector Ouphe provide efficient answers.
Replace redundant midrange threats with disruption.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill Level and Playability

"Gruul Beast Horde" is ideal for players who love tribal synergy backed by aggressive gameplay and midrange staying power. The deck is straightforward to pick up but rewards careful sequencing, timing of cascades, and sideboard adjustments.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Playstyle: Aggressive tribal with midrange resilience
Best For: Competitive-casual Legacy play in both 1v1 and multiplayer

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Competitive Profile and Ratings

Power Level: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.5/5)
Strong tribal presence with solid finishers, though not Tier 1 without meta refinement.

Tribal vs Mechanic-Based Ratio: 90% Tribal / 10% Mechanic-Based
The deck is primarily a tribal strategy, with Beast synergy and token engines as its foundation, while mechanic-based tools like Rhythm of the Wild, Advocate of the Beast, and Spellbreaker Behemoth provide resilience and uncounterable pressure.

Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
Can pressure the board aggressively by turn 3–4 with haste-enabled threats and cascade.

Resilience: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Uncounterable threats and token engines give durability, but heavy sweepers remain problematic.

Best Format Fit:
This deck is best for Legacy competitive-casual games, particularly multiplayer pods where its scaling engines and tribal synergy shine.

Complexity: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Moderately complex — sequencing cascade, managing anthem effects, and timing finishers require planning, but combat lines are straightforward.
