This was a thought experiment between Jon Brostoff and I. Building a mono black deck around torment of scarabs and torment of hail fire. A complete attrition game. Early game focuses on heavy discard, depleting hand resources, and answering threats. This and the black sweepers should put them into top deck mode, which then makes the torments back breaking. Dreamstealer and Herald of Anguish are like extra torment of scarabs. There are many cheap artifacts that either cantrip, ramp, or are removal which pair well with improvise. This is likely a distraction. However, pyramid of the pantheon is interesting, as the mana inefficiency isn't necessarily a huge drawback, and the ramp later is back breaking. Imagine pyramid on 1, Harsh on 2, Aetherborn on 3, unburden on 4, hail fire on 5 for x=6 (7 if it's the raid mind rot) presumably they are already down 4 cards, this will likely nuke their remaining resources, where your hand will virtually be untouched.

Looking into options for the weekend. If I'm able to play, I either want to play a turbo approach deck, or maybe this. It's very interesting, and a 8 rack style attrition deck may be sweet right now. The curve is a little high I think (particullary on 3 drops).
