That Dominaria Izzet drakes deck has a ton of cards that are favorable for it now. Shit loads of 1 mana cantrips, all the Izzet value creatures. 1 drops and 2 drops that scale. I actually have too many viable creatures! Arclight Pheonix, Dreadhorde Arcanist, Rielle all compliment each other well. Pteramander and Sprite Dragon go in the same deck for sure, and pair with the other's well. Crackling Drake rounds out the top, while Ox of Agonas does as well in a similar way. I really like Yidaro, and think it could do well in a controlling build or fast cycling deck.

With a little retooling for black and maybe green, there is potential to round out with more power and interaction. I like the fast clocking side of the deck with Dreadhorde Arcanist primarily being a necromancer. Like if Arcanist can choose corpse churn/Call-of the death-dweller to pull ahead, interaction, a pump spell, or reunion effect, it's a pretty powerful card.

I found the combo with escape protocol. Corridor monitor/Protocol/a creature or artifact that tap for 2+, and a bunch of cycling. This engine should be easy to exploit. Kinnan fits really well into this strategy. Maybe making Sam's Golgari deck Sultai allows for it, but it's core pieces are one color. Magic Mirror, Gadwick, Nythos bloom?
