So in just trying to pull out the essential engine pieces I've already found a deckbuilding issue. The mastery engine is a devotion/nykthos deck utilizing a bunch of GG creatures to fuel huge mana sinks, and then flipping a creature and gaining the life. The leap/avacyn engine is a low creature count token based deck that basically tutors for creatures because of low density. The overlap is that you can switch out a bunch of token generators for creatures for similar effect, but then you need to decide on good payoff cards like Hangarback ewalker, temur war shaman, and whisperwood elemental. This also doesn't consider the larger card pool this deck now has access to. A good pace test is comparing this deck to jund food, as that deck occupies a similar space.

Also Den Protector/Deathmist Raptor/Becomme Immense is an interesting package.
