I love your bringing this to Historic! This deck is awesome, I would play this list as is. My only big gripe is the land. Have I not trained you well my apprentice? For the land is the key to victory, none more true than control! Any control deck needs to hit their land drops and curve out, as the turn you don't is the turn you die. Look at our first matchups the other day. I was at 26 land and miss land drops against you, and looked what happened. And with the DFC lands your ability to inflate your land count is trivial. Now that you are two color, you also need some utility lands for value.

I would also tweak your counter spell suite. Your way to high on Supreme will, as I've said before that card is just not as good as it looks like it should be. It doesn't do both, it does either badly. Gideon's Triumph also extremely overperformed, and I would run the playset of those. The tension between that, gideon himself, and settle the wreckage is perfect, and I would lean into that.
