Notes

This has got to be one of the stranger decks I have designed over the years. I have only 17 creatures, all of them goblins, so it looks like a goblin deck, but it is only because I need something cheap to fight with that will be sympathetic to the main goal: land destruction. Of the other 23 cards, I am looking at 17 that destroy land, 9 of which deal damage in the process. The 15/0/14/10 curve (2.45 average) is fairly high, and might call for an extra land, possibly Maze of Ith. The basic idea is that most decks require significant land to pay for a fighting force, so by having nearly as much land destruction as the typical opponent has lands in his deck, I should be able to keep up. If not, it means I am getting my goblins in greater numbers. Guttersnipe enhances damage from casting things such as Goblin Grenade or land destruction spells. Boggart Shenanigans allows me to deal damage while losing my fighting force. Finally, there are good goblins at the 2-spot that might be worth picking up for their ability to deal direct damage, but I would probably have to lose Foundry Street Denizens to make it work, and my average would go up.
