Notes

This is an artifact deck, basically, but with key blue components. Filigree Sages would be an interesting addition at the 4-spot, but for now the ability to untap artifacts would best be applied only to cheap or free stuff being produced by Prototype Portal, and that cannot justify the increase in cost. The deck is essentially designed to get in and fight long enough to start spawning many copies of something mean. That there are many mean options is what makes the deck dangerous by mid-game. The (3)/11/8/11/5/2 curve averages 2.25, which is certainly not back, especially given what is filling the 4- and 5-spots (and that Phyrexian Metamorphs can be cast with phyrexian mana).
