The quakes, flames, bolts, blasts, and storms all contributed to this two-color protection-from-red deck that tries, once more, to nuke creatures on one side of the table only. Kindle the Carnage was an interesting addition, and Hallow was added as a creative way to gain life (if 12 creatures were on the battlefield, an Earthquake for 5 would be slated to deal 70 damage, but Hallow could prevent it before protection reduced it to zero, gaining the caster 70 life for 7 mana). The 14/13/3/1/5/4 curve averages 2.55, but with 30 cards at or below the 3-spot—27 of them at or below the 2-spot—it was able to get started pretty quickly.
