Notes

I wanted to play with first strike and infect, and BR gave me the proper platform to achieve this without too much trouble. One issue that has arisen is that black is cheaper for just about everything here than red, so the low end leans to black, and the high end to red. All 26 creatures have native infect, though it needs to be activated in Vector Asps each time. That allowed me to focus on first strike, some lifelink, and even a bit of trample. The 12/13/10/5 curve is certainly low, averaging 2.20, but it is also strange. The creature curve is 4/13/4/5, meaning the 2- and 4-spots are entirely creatures, while the 1- and 3-spots are predominantly other spells. That allows me to pause, often, on turn 1, knowing I will quickly gain access to a wide array of creatures with just a second land. The name is pronounced "contain," a play off of Michel de Montaigne (pronunciation), "montagne" (French for "mountain"), and "contagion."
