Devoid of creatures at the 1-spot, this is a definite departure for me. Then again, it is a R/W poison counter deck (with lots of artifact support). I am using the 1- and 2-spots for crippling effects to slow down the opposition early; then I can start building creatures rapidly (there are 26 on a 0/12/8/6 curve). While there are some pricey toys in here, I didn't feel I needed more mana acceleration than the 2 copies of Plague Myr already in there. I have considered some type of protection such as Whispersilk Cloak, and perhaps I need proliferate to enhance this. Five of the 15 non-land titles have never appeared in any deck I have played, and five more have appeared in three or fewer decks. The curve is about where it should be, given the theme, at 11/15/8/6, for an average 2.23.
