Notes

I wanted to see about a deck that would shut down (or pay back) damage while gaining life, all the time building to a Phyrexian Rebirth. There are all kinds of ways to mess with opponents, including the Stalwart Shield-Bearers/Ajani’sPridemate/Perimeter Captain trio and the Abu Ja’far/Valor Made Real combo. Kor Hookmasters, Eye for an Eye, and Reverse Damage can mess with the ability to make damage stick, and the Voidstone Gargoyle and Phyrexian Revoker titles shut down activated abilities and casting. The 2.08 average cost does not show just how low the bulk of the 14/18/4/1/1/2 curve really is.
