This was another attempt at centering around samurai, which aren’t particularly cheap. There are undoubtedly numerous Kamigawa-block cards that would enhance this, but I just don’t have them, and that means I needed to make some tradeoffs to see this work at all. To survive on defense, I tried the Abu Ja’far/Valor Made Real combo that could wipe out an entire crowd of attackers. Boosts were key, but at the time not cheap enough to help as much as would now be possible. The 12/14/7/9/0/0/1 curve comes to an average cost of 2.42, and the 26 spells below the 3-spot mean this can clear a hand quickly in most cases.
