While I am sure there are other ways to assassinate the opposition, I will settle in on Royal and Guul Draz as my means. It’s been a long time since I used Basal Thrulls, but we’ll see how it plays out here, as I probably could use a little turn-3 mana acceleration, just in case I don’t have three lands by then. The Agadeem Occultists power the defense and offense after the opposition starts getting wiped out with various Assassins, Gatekeepers, and Doom Blades. Thran Lens makes sure protection or blackness doesn’t stop me. It looks moderately pricey at 2.33 with a 7/20/8/3/2 curve, but since there are Dark Rituals plus only five cards above the three spot, I am confident it won’t hang up too badly.
