Notes

The name includes an acronym for Destroy, Return, Exile, Grind, the four things the deck engages in (countering and stealing got dropped through the paring down). The basic plan is to stretch things out a while with some annoying management of permanents, and then whittle the life away. If nothing can remain on the battlefield across the table—whether destroyed, exiled, or returned to the owner's hand—my opposition will be forced to win through instants, sorceries, and (perhaps) enchantments. While there are some issues centered around colored mana needs, the 17/15/3/3/2 curve is very fast, averaging only 1.95.
