Notes

I was looking for a new direction to take with G/R, and explicitly building for fights made sense. With Magebane Armor, I can get away with a lot of hammering on other creatures without consequences. I have 8 explicit fight cards, plus two copies of Gruul Ragebeast, so I have a few ways to deal damage. If I can come out ahead in a few interactions, I can win the creature war enough to win the game. There are 8 mana assists (including 6 creatures) that allow me to get color flexibility. On top of that, there are another 8 lands producing either color and able to enter the battlefield untapped. The (1)/19/10/4/3/0/1/2 curve strings out a bit, but still averages only 2.08.
