This was another Takkelmaggot deck, with Pestilence thrown in for good measure. While the costs were not outlandish, it just lacked the kind of focus that would have put it over the top. The 9/12/9/7/1 curve produced an average cost of 2.45, but it just couldn’t get there. The 38 non-land cards were split evenly between creatures and other spells, and for once it was the creatures that were on the cheaper end of things.
