I set out to make a fresh pain deck, with as much stuff causing loss of life as possible. Among spells, only Dark Ritual and Mindcrank do not cause loss of life, and even four of the lands do. That means that of 60 total cards, 37 cause loss of life, most of them passively. I may need to look into replacing some Death Cultists and Pulse Trackers with some Blightspeakers, in order to have more active control, but this looks good for now. The spells are split evenly between creatures and non-creatures. Amazingly, the 13/16/3/6/2 curve, which has a good number of things a fair way up the curve only averages 2.20.
