Notes

This will probably prove to be more of a mental exercise than a competitive deck, but there is a decent shot at surviving long enough to grind a deck into oblivion. A grand total of 30 cards have defender, 16 of which have flying and 7 of which are either pumpable or have evolve. Other abilities include keeping attackers tapped, ignoring combat damage, and returning blocked creatures to their owners’ libraries. Another 3 can do damage to all non-blue creatures that do not have flying if they are given flying. The key to winning, however, comes from Doorkeeper: It grinds based on the number of cards with defender that I control, and that can quickly become a large number. At 8/7/18/7, the curve is pretty wonky, yielding a relatively high 2.60 average, though that pays for a lot of tough blocking.
