Notes

An old favorite, merfolk are half of the final deck, three quarters of spells. The other 10 spells are all for countering or redirecting spells, with the exception of one that taps one (or all) creatures I don’t control. I elected not to use the assassination combo, as even a minimal approach would have taken at least 3 non-merfolk cards. In the end, it was about keeping costs down and taking every core boost and counter I could pack into a fighting team. The 13/17/10 curve results in a 1.93 average. While that is cheap, it is not as cheap as I have gotten some decks before.
